Mischief Theatre’s The Play That Goes Wrong welcomed its new Broadway company September 19. To celebrate, the original cast and the new cast were part of the unveiling of the show’s “Broadway Wall of Fame” portrait at Tony’s Di Napoli Times Square.

The Play That Goes Wrong began performances March 9 and officially opened on Broadway April 2. Currently the longest-running play on Broadway, the show went on to win a 2017 Tony Award for Best Scenic Design of a Play.

Co-written by Mischief Theatre company members Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, and Henry Shields, the show introduces The Cornley University Drama Society, who are attempting to put on a 1920’s murder mystery, “but as the title suggests, everything that can go wrong…does, as the accident prone thespians battle on against all odds to get to their final curtain call.”
