Tony winner Julie White stepped into the central role of Nora in Lucas Hnath’s A Doll’s House, Part 2 July 25. She succeeded Laurie Metcalf, who won her first Tony Award for her performance in the play. Metcalf took her final bow at the John Golden Theatre July 23.
Additionally, Tony nominee Stephen McKinley Henderson and Erin Wilhelmi joined the production, stepping into the roles of Torvald and Emmy. They take over from Chris Cooper and Condola Rashad, respectively.

Continuing in the role of Anne Marie is Tony winner Jayne Houdyshell. She, Cooper, and Rashad all earned Tony nominations for their work in the comedic follow-up to Ibsen’s drama.
A Doll’s House, Part 2 picks up 15 years after the original, which ends with Nora closing the door on her family in a quest for independence. Now, following self-realized success, Nora returns home to confront her past in order to truly move on.
