Oscar nominee Jake Gyllenhaal and Tony nominee Tom Sturridge, making their Public Theater debuts, are currently starring in Sea Wall / A Life.

The back-to-back monologue plays by Simon Stephens and Nick Payne finds Sturridge, in his third collaboration with Tony and Olivier Award winner Stephens (Heisenberg, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time) in Sea Wall, an exploration of love and the human need to know the unknowable, and Gyllenhaal continuing his collaboration with Olivier Award-nominated playwright Payne (Constellations, If There Is I Haven’t Found It Yet) for A Life, an emotional examination of how sons become fathers and the transformative power of love.
