Josefina Gabrielle, Sarah Soetaert, and Olivier winner Ruthie Henshall will join Oscar winner Cuba Gooding Jr. in the upcoming London revival of Chicago, which begins performances March 26 at the Phoenix Theatre.

Gabrielle (Oklahoma! in London and on Broadway) will play Velma Kelly with Soetaert as Roxie Hart, a role she previously played at the Cambride and Garrick Theatres.

Henshall will play Matron "Mama" Morton, becoming the only British actor to have played all three leading female roles in Chicago. Henshall originated the role of Roxie Hart when Chicago first opened in London’s West End in 1997, later returning to play Velma Kelly. (Bebe Neuwirth accomplished a similar feat in the Broadway production of Chicago.)

Gooding, Jr., as previously announced, will play smooth-talking lawyer Billy Flynn.

Chicago originally ran in London for 15 years, making it the West End’s longest-running revival. The Broadway production, which recently celebrated its 21st anniversary, continues at the Ambassador Theatre.

Based on the play by Maurine Dallas Watkins, Chicago features a book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander, and lyrics by Fred Ebb. The 1996 Broadway revival was choreographed by Ann Reinking in the style of Bob Fosse, directed by Walter Bobbie, and produced by Barry and Fran Weissler.
