After a driver struck five pedestrians at a Park Slope intersection March 5, four-year-old Abigail Blumenstein, daughter of Tony-winning Broadway performer Ruthie Ann Miles (The King and I), and one-year-old Joshua Lew were pronounced dead on the scene.

The Daily News was the first to report the accident. The car also struck Miles, Lew's mother Lauren, and an unidentified man. Miles, who announced in January that she and husband Jonathan Blumenstein are expecting, was taken to New York Methodist Hospital along with Lew. Both women are now in stable condition.

The incident occurred around 12:40 PM at the intersection of 9th Street and 5th Avenue while at a red light. The 44-year-old driver claims that she suffered a seizure while driving and does not remember the incident.

A GoFundMe campaign for Miles and her family has been set up here. The fundraiser's organizer, company manager Jack Stephens, reports that Miles' unborn baby was unharmed in the incident. A campaign for Lew and her family has also been set up here.
