The Riverside Theatre production of the classic Jerry Herman musical Mame is presented March 7-26 on the Stark Stage in Vero Beach, Florida.

Directed and choreographed by James Brennan, the company is headed by Michele Ragusa (Broadway’s Young Frankenstein, A Class Act, Ragtime) as Mame Dennis.

Ragusa is joined by Laura E. Taylor as Agnes Gooch, Corinne Melançon as Vera Charles, Bergman Freedman as Young Patrick, George Dvorsky as Beauregard Jackson, Jazmin Gorsline as Sally Cato, Jim Brochu as Dwight Babcock, Dan Fenaughty as M. Lindsey Woosley, Carl Hsu as Ito, Mark Banik as Adult Patrick, Nick Locilento as Mr. Upson, Stacey Scotte as Mrs. Upson, Celia Tackaberry as Madame Branislowski/Mother Burnside, and Peter Wixon as Peter Dennis with Jordan Beall, Amanda Brantley, Michael Peter Deeb, Nicolas De La Vega, Joseph Fierberg, Jeremy James Miranda, Spencer Ramirez, Jennifer Seifter, Elizabeth Troxler, Chelsea Turbin, Stéphanie Visconti, Scarlett Walker, Andrea Weinzierl, and Zach Williams.

Mame, based on Patrick Dennis’ novel Auntie Mame, features a score by Jerry Herman and a book by Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee. The original Broadway production opened in May 1966 at the Winter Garden Theatre with Angela Lansbury as Mame and Bea Arthur as Vera Charles. Both Lansbury and Arthur won Tony Awards for their work. A subsequent film version cast Lucille Ball as the vivacious Mame. The classic Herman score includes such tunes as “If He Walked Into My Life,” “It’s Today,” “Open a New Window,” “Mame,” “Bosom Buddies,” and “We Need a Little Christmas.”

The design and production crew includes Anne Shuttlesworth (music director), Cliff Simon (scenic designer), Julie Duro (lighting designer), Kurt Alger (costume/wig designer), Craig Beyrooti (sound designer), Mark Johnson (production stage manager), and Amy M. Bertacini (assistant production stage manager). Casting was done in New York City by Wojcik/Seay Casting.
