Broadway Licensing has acquired worldwide amateur and professional rights to Chazz Palminteri’s A Bronx Tale The Musical, which arrived on Broadway in November 2016. The musical is based on Palminteri's solo play of the same title, which was later adapted into a film.

The title is a major score for the licensing company that also represents the short-lived Broadway musicals High Fidelity and Glory Days, both of which have gained a cult following since their premieres.

A Bronx Tale The Musical is produced by Palminteri, who also wrote the book, with a score by Grammy and Tony Award winner Alan Menken and lyrics by Grammy winner and Oscar and Tony Award nominee Glenn Slater.

A Bronx Tale started as a one-man show to a major motion picture and now a Broadway hit musical,” Palminteri said in a statement. It’s all because it has a great story with a message that touches the human heart. I’m delighted to be working with Broadway Licensing to tell my story in communities across the country and beyond.”

Broadway licensing also represents the play adaptation of Clue, as well as the musicals Triassic Parq, Emma, and Polkadots.

A cast album is available from Ghostlight Records.
