Broadway Teaching Group (BTG) has opened registration for the 2019 Broadway Teachers Workshop. The program, consisting of interactive workshops and seminars with Broadway artists, will be offered over five three-day sessions in July.

Participants will also attend four Broadway shows and post-show discussions with the casts and crews: Tootsie, The Prom, Ain't Too Proud, and King Kong.

Past guest speakers at the workshop have included Lin-Manuel Miranda, Stephen Sondheim, Stephen Schwartz, Robert Lopez, Chita Rivera, Jerry Mitchell, Michael Grief, Jason Robert Brown, Alex Timbers, Kathleen Marshall, Harvey Fierstein, Charles Strouse, Jeanine Tesori, and Susan Stroman.

The program is designed to inspire theatre educators—not only by introducing them to new teaching methods and production techniques, but also by connecting them with peers in the education industry and Broadway professionals face-to-face. Additionally, the program offers graduate level academic credit.

The Broadway Teachers Workshop is produced in conjunction with Music Theatre International.
