The new stage adaptation of To Kill a Mockingbird celebrated its opening night at Broadway’s Shubert Theatre December 13. Directed by Bartlett Sher, the production stars Jeff Daniels (The Newsroom) as Atticus Finch.

Oscar and Emmy winner Aaron Sorkin penned the script for the theatrical take, which frames Harper Lee's Alabama-set story as a memory play, with Scout (Tony nominee Celia Keenan-Bolger) recalling the 1930s trial in which her father defended a black man accused of raping a white girl.
