The Signature Theatre celebrated the official opening of its Off-Broadway revival of Lynn Nottage's 2011 satire By the Way, Meet Vera Stark February 19. Directed by Kamilah Forbes, the play stars Jessica Frances Dukes as Vera, a Black actor working to pave her own way and defy racial stereotypes in Hollywood.

The Signature revival of By the Way, Meet Vera Stark began performances January 29 and has been extended through March 10. Completing the cast are Jenni Barber as Gloria, Tony Award nominee Manoel Felciano as Max/Peter, Warner Miller as Leroy/Herb, Carra Patterson as Anna Mae/Afua, Heather Alicia Simmsas Lottie/Carmen, and David Turner as Brad/Slavick.
