The world premiere of Disney’s stage adaptation of Frozen celebrates its official opening night September 14 at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts’ Buell Theatre. Performances will run at the Colorado venue through October 1 prior to an early 2018 Broadway bow.

Tony winner Michael Grandate directs the new musical, which stars Caissie Levy and Patti Murin as Arendelle royals Else and Anna, respectively.

Following the out-of-town run, Frozen will begin performances at Broadway’s St. James Theatre February 22, 2018. Opening night is set for March 22.

The cast also includes Jelani Alladin as Kristoff, John Riddle as Hans, Robert Creighton as Weselton, Kevin Del Aguila as Oaken, Timothy Hughes as Pabbie, Greg Hildreth as Olaf, Kevin Del Aguila as Oaken, Timothy Hughes as Pabbie, and Andrew Pirozzi as Sven. Audrey Bennett and Mattea Conforti share the role as Young Anna, while Brooklyn Nelson and Ayla Schwartz rotate in the role of Young Elsa.

Rounding out the cast of 40 are Alicia Albright, Tracee Beazer, Wendi Bergamini, Ashley Blanchet, James Brown III, Claire Camp, Lauren Nicole Chapman, Spencer Clark, Jeremy Davis, Kali Grinder, Ashley Elizabeth Hale, Zach Hess, Donald Jones, Jr., Nina Lafarga, Ross Lekites, Austin Lesch, Synthia Link, Travis Patton, Adam Perry, Jeff Pew, Olivia Phillip, Noah J. Ricketts, Ann Sanders, Jacob Smith, and Nicholas Ward.

The musical features a book by the 2013 film's screenwriter and co-director Jennifer Lee and a score by the Oscar-winning songwriters of the movie Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez. The husband-and-wife team have also penned roughly a dozen new songs to accompany the favorites features in the movie. Tony winner Rob Ashford choreographs.
