St. Ann's Warehouse celebrated the official opening of the American premiere of The Jungle December 9. The immersive production, previously seen in the West End, invites audiences into the now-closed refugee camp in Calais, France, known as The Jungle—where thousands of refugees from Africa and the Middle East built a society while they waited for their “good chance” passage to Britain.

The Jungle is written by Joe Murphy and Joe Robertson with direction by Stephen Daldry and Justin Martin.

The cast is made up of Mohammad Amiri, Alexander Devrient, Elham Ehsas, Trevor Fox, Milan Ghobsheh, Ammar Haj Ahmad, Alex Lawther, Jo McInnes, Yasin Moradi, Jonathan Nyati, John Pfumojena, Rachel Redford, Dominic Rowan, Rachid Sabitri, Mohamed Sarrar, Ben Turner, Nahel Tzegai, Vera Gurpinar, and Annika Mehta.

The Jungle is a co-production between Good Chance Theatre, National Theatre, and Young Vic. Performances began at St. Ann's Warehouse December 4.

The production features set design by Miriam Buether, costume design by Catherine Kodicek, lighting design by Jon Clark, sound design by Paul Arditti, composition by John Pfumojena, and video design by Tristan Shepherd and Duncan Mclean.
