Critics have begun filing their reviews for the Broadway premiere of Junk, a new play by Pulitzer Prize winner Ayad Akhtar (Disgraced), which officially opens November 2 at Lincoln Center Theater. Watch highlights from the production in the video above.

Inspired by the real junk bond kings of the day, the story is set in the high-flying, risk-seeking financial world of the 1980s.

Junk, directed by Doug Hughes, began performances October 5 in The Vivian Beaumont Theater.

Steven Pasquale leads the cast as trailblazer Robert Merkin, an investment banker attempting to re-shape the market, the rules of Wall Street, and the world.

Pasquale is joined by Ito Aghayere, Phillip James Brannon, Tony Carlin, Demosthenes Chrysan, Jenelle Chu, Caroline Hewitt, Rick Holmes, Ted Koch, Ian Lassiter, Teresa Avia Lim, Adam Ludwig, Sean McIntyre, Nate Miller, Ethan Phillips, Matthew Rauch, Matthew Saldivar, Charlie Semine, Michael Siberry, Miriam Silverman, Joey Slotnick, Henry Stram, and Stephanie Umoh.
