Irish Repertory Theatre celebrated the official opening of its Off-Broadway revival of On a Clear Day You Can See Forever June 28. The Alan Jay Lerner and Burton Lane musical is adapted and directed by Artistic Director Charlotte Moore and stars Tony nominee Melissa Errico.

In the 1965 musical, a young woman (Errico) goes to a psychiatrist to cure her smoking, but instead, through hypnosis, discovers that she is the reincarnation of a well-born English lady.

The principal cast is rounded out by Stephen Bogardus as Dr. Mark Bruckner and John Cudia as Edward Moncrief. On a Clear Day You Can See Forever began performances June 15 and is scheduled to play through August 12.

The production team includes scenic designer James Morgan (Three Small Irish Masterpieces), costume designer Whitney Locher (Woman and Scarecrow), lighting designer Mary Jo Dondlinger (Finian’s Rainbow), and sound designer M. Florian Staab (The Seafarer). Casting is by Deborah Brown (Our Town).
