Mel Brooks’ musical adaptation of his comedy Young Frankenstein celebrated its official opening at West End’s Garrick Theatre October 10. After directing the musical’s Broadway premiere in 2007, Tony winner Susan Stroman returns to helm the U.K. bow.

Stroman and Brooks, along with late co-writer Thomas Meehan, reworked the show for its new incarnation. Changes include revisions to dialogue and lyrics to cater to a London audience. Some songs from the original have been cut, and two new numbers have been added.
