The Broadway revival of Terrence McNally’s Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune, directed by Arin Arbus, officially opened May 30 at the Broadhurst Theatre. Starring in the two-hander are Tony, Grammy, and Emmy winner Audra McDonald and two-time Academy Award nominee Michael Shannon.

Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune debuted Off-Broadway in 1987 and was later seen on Broadway in 2002. The play tells the story of a waitress and a short-order cook's first date that turns into something more.

The Broadway revival began began May 4 for a limited run scheduled through August 25. Read reviews below.
