As Donna Murphy concludes a two-week stint in the spotlight at Broadway’s Hello, Dolly!, critics have revisited the Tony-winning revival at the Shubert Theatre to catch the stage favorite in the title role during Bette Midler’s scheduled vacation.

Murphy—a two-time Tony winner for her performances in Passion and The King and I—played her first performance in the musical June 13. As the alternate Dolly, she will continue to proceed down the iconic Harmonia Gardens stairs on Tuesday evenings.
