Lincoln Center Theater celebrated the official opening of Joshua Harmon’s play Admissions, a new play about the hypocrisy and ideals of liberal white America, March 12.
In the new drama by the Significant Other playwright, Jessica Hecht plays an admissions officer at an exclusive college prep school trying to combat institutionalized racism. Her son, played by Ben Edelman, sets his sights on an Ivy League university, causing his parents' progressive values to clash with his personal ambitions.
Admissions began previews in the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater February 15. Daniel Aukin directs, and Ann McDonough and Sally Murphy complete the cast.
