A Midsummer’s Night Dream is often staged this time of year, just as summer flings are heating up, but was this London production fiery enough to make Puck blush?

With a theatre-in-the-round staging, the Bridge Theatre production of the Shakespearean fairy tale stars Game of Thrones' Gwendolyn Christie as Titania. Bridge Theatre co-founder Nicholas Hytner directs with performances running through August 31. A taping of the show will play cinemas October 17 to kick off NT Live's fall programming.

Joining Christie in the cast is Oliver Chris (Green Wing) as Oberon, David Moorst (Allelujah!) as Puck, and Hammed Animashaun (The Festival) as Bottom.

Behind the scenes, design is by Bunny Christie, costumes by Christina Cunningham, lighting by Bruno Poet and sound by Paul Arditt. Grant Olding serves as conductor, with Arlene Phillips as movement director and James Cousins as associate movement director.
