LCT3 at Lincoln Center Theater has added to its winter lineup Marys Seacole, the newest play by acclaimed Fairview playwright Jackie Sibblies Drury. Leading the cast of the world premiere, to be directed by Obie winner Lileana Blain-Cruz, will be Quincy Tyler Bernstine, recently seen Off-Broadway in Our Lady of 121st Street and The Amateurs.

Marys Seacole will begin previews February 9, 2019, in the Clare Tow Theater and continue through March 24. Opening night is February 25.
Bernstine will star as Mary, an ambitious Jamaican woman determined to live a grand life; her adventures take her across oceans and eras, from a battlefield of the Crimean War to a contemporary nursing home, and many times and places in between.
The cast will also feature Karen Kandel and Lucy Taylor. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.
The production will have sets by Mariana Sanchez, costumes by Kaye Voyce, lighting by Jiyoun Chang, and sound by Palmer Hefferan.
Drury's other plays include We Are Proud to Present a Presentation About the Herero of Namibia, Formerly Known as South West Africa, From the German Sudwestafrika, Between the Years 1884-1915; Really; and Social Creatures.
Blain-Cruz returns to Lincoln Center Theater where she directed Dominique Morisseau’s Pipeline and Branden Jacobs-Jenkins’ War. Her other credits include The House That Will Not Stand, Red Speedo, and The Death of the Last Black Man in the Whole Entire World, among others.
