St. Ann’s Warehouse has announced a two-week extension for the American premiere of Duncan Macmillan’s People, Places & Things, now in previews at the Brooklyn theatre. The National Theatre/Headlong production, which was lauded in the West End, will now play through December 3.

Directed by Jeremy Herrin, People, Places & Things is set to officially open Off-Broadway October 25. Denise Gough is reprising her Olivier Award-winning role as Emma, alongside much of the original London cast.

In People, Places & Things, Macmillan (1984) presents a visceral depiction of addiction and the struggles of recovery. The story follows Emma, whose life spirals out of control because of her addiction to alcohol and drugs.

The cast is completed by Jacob James Beswick (T/Ensemble), Alistair Cope (Foster), Jacqui Dubois (Jodi/Ensemble), Charlotte Gascoyne (Charlotte/Ensemble), Kevin McMonagle (Paul/Dad), Nathaniel Martello-White (Mark), Barbara Marten (Doctor/Therapist/Mum), Himesh Patel (Shaun/Ensemble), and Laura Woodward (Laura/Ensemble).

The production features set design by Olivier and Tony Award winner Bunny Christie.
