The 2015-2016 season introduced audiences to the formidable talent of Tony nominee Carmen Cusack and the laugh-a-minute comedy of Disaster! The Musical. Cusack—the newly minted star of last spring’s Bright Star—followed that new musical’s demise with a crowd-pleasing summer visit to 54 Below. Now she returns for another four nights.

Recording star Linda Eder, forever remembered for the original Broadway production of Jekyll & Hyde, returns for another stint at the cabaret beneath Studio 54.
We Never Do This: An Evening with Kristen & Bobby Lopez
March 11 at American Songbook, Appel Room
The songwriting team responsible for Frozen make a rare stage appearance with an evening of songs. Bobby Lopez is also co-author of the long-running The Book of Mormon and Avenue Q; Kristen Anderson-Lopez made her Broadway debut in December as co-author of the new musical In Transit.
Paul Jabara’s Rachael Lily Rosenbloom…and Don’t You Ever Forget It!

Fans of fabled flops have a rare opportunity to revisit Rachael Lily Rosenbloom, which closed during previews at the Broadhurst back in 1973. The campy disco spoof was a thorough mess, yes; but it lives on, apparently, and is likely to prove fascinating for some.

Singer-songwriter Suzanne Vega pays homage to Southern writer Carson McCullers (A Member of the Wedding) with songs from her recent album Lover, Beloved, which in turn was based on her 2011 musical Carson McCullers Talks About Love (with music by Duncan Sheik).
Lyrics & Lyricists—Baby, Dream Your Dream: Dorothy Fields and the Women of the American Songbook
March 18–20 at the 92nd Street Y
Host Deborah Grace Winer (Lyrics & Lyricists’ artistic director) and music director John Oddo present songs from pioneering lyricist Dorothy Fields along with works by lyricists and composers Betty Comden, Carolyn Leigh, and Mary Rodgers. The stellar cast will include Marilyn Maye, Kenita Miller, and Emily Skinner.
The New Yorkers: A Sociological Musical Satire

Encores! continues their season with a rare viewing of Cole Porter’s madcap 1930 musical, set in the Prohibition era and featuring the hits “Love for Sale” and “I Happen to Like New York.”
