The Off-Broadway League and United Scenic Artists, Local USA 829 IATSE have negotiated the first-ever contract for Off-Broadway designers, which will work to cement standard practices in the industry. The three-year agreement was made March 4 and will go into effect in July.
United Scenic Artists, Local USA 829 is a labor union made up of designers, artists, and craftspeople with a current active membership of over 4,300. Members work in film, theatre, opera, ballet, television, industrial shows, commercials, and exhibitions.
