Industry News NYMF Names Scott Pyne as New Executive Director Pyne returns to the festival after having previously served as the director of development.

Scott Pyne, who previously worked as the director of development at The New York Musical Festival (NYMF), will become the festival's new executive director beginning in September. He will succeed Dan Markley, who has been with NYMF since 2013.

Under its new structure, NYMF will be co-led by Pyne and Producing Artistic Director Rachel Sussman.

Pyne served as the director of development at NYMF from 2010 to 2013. He brings with him 17 years of experience as a non-profit arts administrator and fundraiser, having worked for such theatrical organizations as TheaterWorksUSA, the Vineyard Theater, and Manhattan Theatre Club.

“There is nothing more exciting than seeing a brand-new musical unfold on the stage,” said Pyne in a statement. “I am thrilled to be returning to the New York Musical Festival, and proud to lead such a talented community working to cultivate and nurture the creative teams who add to the vibrant landscape of this art form.”

Now in its 15th year, NYMF 2018 kicked off July 9 and is currently running through August 5 at various locations around Broadway. The annual festival showcases up-and-coming shows and musical theatre artists to keep on your radar.
