Tony Award nominee Norm Lewis is taking a night off from murder and mayhem in title role of the Off-Broadway revival of Sweeney Todd to perform a solo concert of his favorite songs April 28 at Landmark on Main Street in Port Washington, New York.

His playlist is still being finalized, but will include songs from throughout his career. Lewis told Playbill, “I cannot wait to make my debut at Landmark on Main Street where so many of my friends and many people who I admire have performed.”

Lewis, who earned his Tony nomination as Porgy in the 2012 Broadway revival of The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess, also made history as The Phantom of the Opera’s first African-American Phantom on Broadway in 2014. His Broadway credits include Sondheim on Sondheim, The Little Mermaid, Les Misérables, Chicago, Amour, The Wild Party, Side Show, Miss Saigon, and The Who’s Tommy. He appeared as Javert in the London production of Les Misérables and in Les Misérables: The 25th Anniversary Concert, which aired on PBS.

Lewis has been a special guest performer on two of Playbill’s Broadway on the High Seas cruises.
