Broadway News Nominees Announced for 11th Annual Jimmy Awards, Celebrating Excellence in High School Musical Theatre The National High School Musical Theatre Awards will be hosted by Ben Platt June 24.

A record 86 students will be celebrated at the 11th Annual Jimmy Awards, honoring the best performances in an American high school production this past year.

The nominees make their debut on a Broadway stage after intensive professional training at NYU Tisch School of the Arts' New Studio on Broadway.

The June 24 ceremony, hosted by Dear Evan Hansen star Ben Platt, will be streamed live from the Minskoff Theatre on The Jimmy Awards Facebook account. After the performances, winners will be selected by a panel of industry experts.

In addition to the nominated performers, the previously announced Inspiring Teacher Award will be given to Matthew Hinson from Northwest School of the Arts in Charlotte, North Carolina and Tasha Partee from Lawrence Woodmere Academy in Woodmere, New York. Their students won the 2018 Jimmy Award for Best Performance by an Actress and Best Performance by an Actor, respectively.
