Boston's historic Colonial Theatre shut its doors in 2015, but has now reopened with the word premiere of the musical adaptation of Moulin Rouge!. In commemoration of the reopening of the ornate venue, celebrities gathered together to discuss their experiences in the space and how it affected their lives and careers. Watch the video, titled "#myColonial," above.

In the featurette, Mindy Kaling discusses seeing shows at the Colonial as a kid. Sarah Jessica Parker shares that the Colonial was home to the try-out of her first Broadway show, The Innocents ("My Colonial is my beginning," she says). Tommy Tune admits to always suggesting the Colonial for an out-of-town run. Harvey Fierstein declared the Colonial as his "church".

Karen Olivo, who stars as Satine in Moulin Rouge!, explained that by opening the musical at the Colonial, they are "highlighting an incredible venue"—a venue that was the first home to such shows as Anything Goes, Oklahoma!, and Follies.

Moulin Rouge!, currently in previews, also features Aaron Tveit as Christian, Danny Burstein as Harold Zidler, Sahr Ngaujah as Toulouse-Lautrec, Tam Mutu as the Duke of Monroth, Ricky Rojas as Santiago, and Robyn Hurder as Nini. Alex Timbers directs the show, which features a book by John Logan.
