Feinstein’s/54 Below, the supper club located below Studio 54, will boast these events of interest to theatre folk the week of August 3–10.

August 3: Tovah Feldshuh's Aging Is Optional (cause G-d I hope it is!)

The four-time Tony Award nominee performs a solo show of inspirational songs and stories about staying young. 7 PM. Click here for details.

August 3: Steve Kazee
Tony Award-winning star of Once performs his solo show. 9:30 PM Click here for details.

August 4: Cook for Your LIFE: A Cancer Benefit Concert
Music from Broadway shows, pop songs, and some original tunes performed by Broadway and Off-Broadway alumni as a benefit for Cook for Your LIFE, a charity committed to providing “food knowledge and skills for those with cancer to live better.” 7 PM

August 4: Women of the Wings
A showcase of songs by Tony winners Lisa Kron, Jeanine Tesori, and other up-and-coming female theatre songwriters. 9:30 PM Click here for details.

August 4: Actor Therapy Composer-lyricist Ryan Scott Oliver (35mm, Darling) and Broadway actor Lindsay Mendez (Significant Other, Wicked, Dogfight, Godspell) host a master class for performers looking to “improve their auditions, build a better book, and expand their understanding of what it means to be an actor and song interpreter in New York today.” 11:30 PM.

August 5: Dos Divas!
“Latina beltresses” Sarah Fernandez and Lauren Baez make their 54 Below debut with a concert of showtunes and pop hits that explain “the trials and tribulations of what it takes to make it in New York City” with a “Latin flair.” 7 PM

August 5: The Greatest Songs of the Great American Songbook
Broadway singers including Daniel Reichard (Jersey Boys), Willy Falk (Miss Saigon), Brian Charles Rooney (The Threepenny Opera), and Kevin Spirtas (The Boy From Oz) sing pop classics written by American composers for Tin Pan Alley, Broadway, Hollywood, vaudeville, and radio. 9:30 PM

August 6: The Cast of Bandstand Sings from the Big Band Era
Cast members from the new Broadway musical will perform “As Time Goes By,” “I’ll Be Seeing You,” “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy,” and other pop tunes from the World War II period, when the show is set. Two shows: 7 and 9:30 PM

August 7: Kinky Boots Sings Cyndi Lauper
Billy Porter, Natalie Joy Johnson, Alan Mingo, Jr., Jennifer Perry, and others who have appeared in Kinky Boots during its multi-year Broadway run will sing the music of composer Cyndi Lauper. “Special alumni” are promised. Two shows: 7 and 9:30 PM

August 8–12 and August 23–September 3: Michael Feinstein: Showstoppers
The co-owner and namesake of Feinstein’s return to his home based with a concert of songs that explore the meaning of the expression “showstopper.” 7 and/or 9:30 PM on various dates. Click here for details.

August 8: New Writers at 54! The Songs of Timothy Huang

Remy Zaken, Eric Badique, Jennifer Blood, and other Broadway veterans showcase the songs of budding songwriter Huang. 9:30 PM Click here for details.

August 9: The Fix in Concert
Concert version of the London musical that examined a fictional U.S. presidential candidate, with a score by Dana P. Rowe, with book and lyrics by John Dempsey (Witches of Eastwick, Zombie Prom), performed by Mark Evans, Sally Ann Triplett, David Cantor, and others. Part of the Second Act Series, run by Steven Carl McCasland and James Horan. 9:30 PM

August 10: New Writers at 54! The Songs of Sam Wilmott
Tony nominee Tony Sheldon and other Broadway veterans help celebrate the songs of budding songwriter Wilmott. 9:30 PM Click here for details.
