Emmy Award and Golden Globe nominee Melissa Gilbert, recently seen in The Dead, 1904, will return Off-Broadway this spring to star in Geraldine Aron’s Olivier Award-nominated solo play, My Brilliant Divorce. Gilbert will play a divorced New Yorker living in London and picking up the pieces after her husband left her for a younger woman.
My Brilliant Divorce will play the New Ohio Theatre beginning March 15. The limited engagement, directed by Aedín Moloney, is scheduled through April 8.

The play, which received an Oliver Award nomination for Best Entertainment, played The Apollo Theatre in London and Ireland’s Druid Theatre. My Brilliant Divorce debuted in the New York region at the Bay Street Theater in 2012 starring Polly Draper.
The Off-Broadway premiere is presented by Fallen Angel Theatre Company.
The production will feature set design by John McDermott (Peter Pan), lighting design by Jessica Kasprisin (Eva the Chaste), sound design by M. Florian Staab (When I was a Girl I used to Scream and Shout), costume design by Nikki Delhomme (The Alchemist), and props design by Eileen Connolly (Daughter of the Waves).
As a child, Gilbert starred as Laura in the Little House on the Prairie TV series. She later appeared in the musical stage version of the show as an adult in the role of Ma.
