Tony Award nominee Melissa Errico will salute Broadway’s Fair Ladies in a May 6 concert at the Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts in Katonah, New York, in which she will explore “the music and characters that have shaped my life.”

Errico told Playbill that she will take a look at the fabric of her life and celebrate the characters—on and off the stage—that inspired and intrigued her most. Beginning with her Italian heritage and connection to The Ziegfeld Follies and early films, Errico will sing standards from the 1930s and 1940s, including some introduced by Judy Garland and Doris Day. In a childhood full of music, Errico was exposed to the artistry of Rita Hayworth, Rosalind Russell, Julie Andrews, and Bernadette Peters, among others, and was inspired by the roles they played. For Broadway’s Fair Ladies: The Music and Characters that have Shaped My Life, she promises a highly personal portrait of an artist paying tribute to the voices of family and stage most iconic to her.

Also, as a mother juggling raising three children while managing a busy career, Errico said she is using the concert to ask “a few of the big—and plenty of the ridiculous—questions of life.” Her playlist for the Caramoor concert Broadway’s Fair Ladies will include showtunes “Somewhere,” “Life Upon The Wicked Stage," "The Man I Love," "I Could Have Danced All Night," "Not Getting Married Today," and "Unexpected Song."

After Caramoor, Errico has another concert scheduled: Hollywood to Broadway with the Gulf Coast Symphony at 7 PM April 9 at the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall in Fort Meyers, Florida. She will perform with Rachel York and Doug LaBrecque on songs from The Phantom of the Opera, Les Misérables, Evita, and Cats, along with hits from other Broadway and Hollywood scores. Errico, who made her Carnegie Hall debut March 21 in a concert with Michael Feinstein, recently returned to Off-Broadway’s Irish Repertory Theatre where she recreated her performance as Sharon McLonergan in that company’s 2016 revival of Finian’s Rainbow. She earned a Tony nomination for her performance in the 2003 musical Amour. She has been nominated for Drama Desk Awards six times, including for the 2013 Off-Broadway revival of Passion, and going back to 1994 when she was nominated for her performance as Eliza Doolittle in that year’s revival of My Fair Lady. Other Broadway appearances include Dracula, High Society and, most recently, White Christmas. Her solo CDs include Blue Like That, Lullabies and Wildflowers, Legrand Affair, and What About Today? Melissa Errico Live at 54 Below. She also recently published a parenthood column in NY Metro Parents magazine.

Errico was a special guest performer on Playbill’s February Broadway on the High Seas 8 cruise to the Caribbean. Playbill’s inaugural river cruise along the Rhône River in May 2017 is sold out, but cabins are available for the Rhine River cruise in August 2017, featuring Seth Rudetsky, Andréa Burns, Faith Prince, Terrence Mann, Charlotte d’Amboise, and more exciting talent to be announced.
