Alex Lubischer’s darkly comic play Bobbie Clearly makes its New York premiere with previews beginning March 8 ahead of an April 3 opening at the Black Box Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre. The production will be the second in Roundabout Underground’s expanded two-play season, following Too Heavy for Your Pocket by Jiréh Breon Holder.

In Bobbie Clearly, the eccentric residents of Milton, Nebraska, are ready to share their sides of the story—the story of how Bobbie killed Casey in the middle of a cornfield.

Will Davis directs a cast that includes Ethan Dubin (Rancho Viejo) in the title role, Gabriel Brown (Love & Money) as Pete Pfeifer, Sasha Diamond (Signficant Other) as Meghan Gotschell, Crystal Finn (Kingdom Come) as Jane Welch, Marcus Ho (Three Trees) as Russ Scott, Christopher Innvar (110 in the Shade) as Stanley Welch, Tyler Lea (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time) as Eddie Welch, Talene Monahon (The Government Inspector) as Megan Currie, Brian Quijada (Oedipus El Rey) as Mitch Backes, Constance Shulman (Barbecue) as Darla London, and JD Taylor (The Last Match) as Derek Nelson.
