Broadway News Mean Girls Adds Sunday Evening Performance to Its Broadway Schedule The hit musical will no longer perform a Wednesday matinee.

You can sit with them on Sunday nights now, too.

Beginning September 30, Mean Girls will offer an additional performance at 7:30 PM every Sunday. That performance will replace the previously schedule Wednesday matinees, which will come to an end with the September 19 performance.

The musical features music by Jeff Richmond, lyrics by Nell Benjamin, and a book by Tina Fey, who makes her Broadway debut after appearing in and penning the screenplay for the 2004 comedy.

Leading the cast is Erika Henningsen (Les Misérables) as high school fresh face Cady Heron (played on screen by Lindsay Lohan). Bringing the Plastics, the vicious clique Heron infiltrates, are Taylor Louderman(Kinky Boots) as queen bee Regina George, Ashley Park (Sunday in the Park with George) as Gretchen Wieners, and Kate Rockwell (Rock of Ages) as Karen Smith.

The company also includes Tony nominee Jennifer Simard as Ms. Norbury, Grey Henson as Damian, Cheech Manohar as Kevin Gnapoor, Kyle Selig as Aaron Samuels, Barrett Wilbert Weed as Janis Sarkisian, and Rick Younger as Mr. Duvall.
