Mario Cantone, most known to Broadway fans for his performance in Laugh Whore, will play White House Communication Director Anthony Scaramucci on Comedy Central’s The President Show. The episode will air July 27 on Comedy Central, according to The Wrap.
The President Show is hosted by Anthony Atamanuik in the character of Donald Trump; the series was recently renewed for seven more episodes.
Cantone has been seen in his one-man show Laugh Whore, which received a Tony nomination for Best Special Theatrical Event. Other Broadway credits include Stephen Sondheim's Assassins and The Tempest. He is also known for his performance as Anthony Marentino in HBO’s Sex in the City.
