Industry News Margo Seibert and Andrew Durand Lead Industry Reading of New Musical It’s The Bear From the choreographer of Broadway’s upcoming Beetlejuice comes a new murder mystery musical.

An industry reading of the new murder mystery musical It’s The Bear is set for December 7 at The Ailey Studios in New York City.

The musical, directed by Connor Gallagher, choreographer of Beetlejuice and the most recent Off-Broadway revival of The Robber Bridegroom, features a book by Rebekah Greer Melocik and a bluegrass score by Aaron Quinn and Nadia Quinn, based on a concept by Dave Adamick and the Quinns. Ben Moss serves as music director.

Starring Andrew Durand (Head Over Heels), Andy Grotelueschen (Tootsie), Greg Hildreth (Frozen), Storm Lever (Summer), Alex Malaos (The Leftovers), Nadia Quinn (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson), Margo Seibert (In Transit, Rocky), and Matt Cusack (Bandstand), the musical follows Jill, a woman struggling to get her business off the ground. She takes her employees on a mandatory team-building day retreat to Bear Mountain, but soon someone starts killing them off.

The cast also includes "A Merry Band of Woodland Creatures" played by Molly Hager (Waitress), Jessie Linden, Geoffrey Allen Murphy, Mike Rosengarten (Be More Chill), Douglas Waterbury-Tieman, and Ameara Wahhab.
