Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center—known primarily as the home of the Academy Awards ceremonies since 2002—is poised to welcome national tours of Broadway productions beginning in 2020.

The decision stems from an agreement between CIM Group, which owns and operates the Dolby, and the Hollywood Pantages Theatre, one of the prominent Southern California venues for touring productions (the two are located a mile apart from each other on Hollywood Boulevard).

In addition to the Oscars, the Dolby is host to other live TV productions (such as America’s Got Talent), film premieres, and concerts. “The Hollywood Pantages Theatre bringing Broadway shows to Dolby Theatre complements our program lineup,” says CIM Group Founder Shaul Kuba.
