Drama Desk winner Michael Urie, who most recently returned to Broadway in Bess Wohl's Grand Horizons, celebrates his birthday August 8.
Urie, known for his work on screen in Ugly Betty and on the stage in Buyer & Cellar and Torch Song, has also been seen Off-Broadway in The Government Inspector, The Cherry Orchard, and The Temperamentals. He also took on the title role in William Shakespeare's Hamlet at Shakespeare Theatre Company.
In June, he hosted Playbill's Pride Spectacular, the final event of Playbill and Pride Play's monthlong celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community.
