The London production of the Tony-winning musical Kinky Boots will play its final performance January 12, 2019, at the Adelphi Theatre.

Upon closing, the Harvey Fierstein-Cyndi Lauper musical will have played over 1,400 performances in the West End. The company is currently headed by Simon-Anthony Rhoden as Lola, Oliver Tompsett as Charlie Price, and Natalie McQueen as Lauren.

The London staging is the recipient of three 2016 Olivier Awards, including Best New Musical. Jerry Mitchell directed and choreographed.

Kinky Boots will also embark on an extensive U.K. tour from autumn 2018 through 2019. The tour will open at Royal & Derngate in Northampton September 19, returning to the home of the British story, and then visit major cities including Edinburgh, Manchester, and Birmingham.

Inspired by true events, Kinky Boots is the story of Charlie Price, who is struggling to live up to his father’s expectations and continue the family business. With the factory’s future hanging in the balance, help arrives in the unlikely form of Lola, a fabulous performer in need of some sturdy new stilettos.
