The rock musical, based on the true story of Lizzie Borden, features music by Steven Cheslik-deMeyer and Alan Stevens Hewitt, lyrics by Cheslik-deMeyer and Tim Maner, and a book by Maner. The show was first developed in 1990 as a four-song experimental theatre piece. Ten years later, a reading was held at the NAMT Festival of New Musicals; the show has since played around the world.

Leading the Chicago company will be Liz Chidester as Lizzie, with Leah Davis as Bridget, Jacquelyne Jones as Alice, and Camille Robinson as Emma. A series of late-night performances will feature understudies Kyrie Anderson, Becca Brown, Amanda Horvath, and Elle Walker.

Victoria Bussert directs the production, which will feature choreography by Janet Louer and music direction from Julia A. Miller and Andra Veils Simon.
