Broadway star Liz Callaway plans a series of concert dates in Florida, titled And the Tony Goes to: An Evening with Liz Callaway, including a February 10 stop at the Tennessee Williams Theatre in Key West.
Backed by the South Florida Symphony Orchestra (SFSO), Callaway is scheduled to salute the 100th anniversary of the birth of composer-conductor Leonard Bernstein with a segment of songs from West Side Story and On The Town.
Callaway, who made her Broadway debut in Merrily We Roll Along, earned her Tony nomination for Baby, in which she debuted one of her signature numbers, “The Story Goes On.“ Other appearances include taking over the role of Grizabella during the first Broadway run of Cats, and originating the role of Ellen in Broadway’s Miss Saigon. Since The Look of Love in 2003 she has focused on her busy concert and recording career.
The Tennessee Williams Theatre is located at 5901 College Road in Key West. Tickets for the 7:30 PM performance of An Evening With Liz Callaway cost $44–$129 and can be ordered by clicking here.
Her Florida mini tour with the SFSO will take her to The Spanish River Worship Center in Boca Raton on February 8, and the Tennessee Williams Theatre in Key West on February 10.
