Film & TV News Listen to Josh Groban’s Take on Alan Menken’s New Beauty and the Beast Anthem The current Broadway star is featured on the upcoming film’s soundtrack.

Walt Disney Records has released the full track of Josh Groban’s “Evermore” from the Beauty and the Beast soundtrack. Have a listen to the number—written specifically for the new film—above.

The song, penned by the original animated film’s Tony and Oscar-winning composer Alan Menken and lyricist Tim Rice, is performed in the live-action adaptation by the Beast (Dan Stevens) as he laments the loss of Belle after he releases her back to her father. The number effectively replaces “If I Can’t Love Her” from the Broadway adaptation.

Groban currently stars on Broadway in Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812 at the Imperial Theatre. He first announced his contribution to the film soundtrack in January.
