Lin-Manuel Miranda has added yet another accolade to his list of awards and distinctions, taking home a Webby Award April 24 for his charity work on “Rise Up” with The Charity Network.
The Hamilton creator earned the People’s Voice Award (as determined by public vote) in the Social Public Service & Activism category. Miranda and his family partnered with The Charity Network to offer special experiences through Prizeo and Charitybuzz, raising money and awareness for various causes and charities.
Meanwhile, four-time Tony nominee Laura Linney (last on Broadway in The Little Foxes) received a Special Achievement Webby for Best Actress for her performance on Netflix’s Ozark.
