News Laura Osnes Delivers a PSA From the Bands of Broadway The video addresses the confusion—and provides answers—to the issue of having three Broadway shows with the word “band” in the title.

Gettin' the Band Back Together, The Boys in the Band, and The Band's Visit: What do they have in common? The word “band” in the title. Is this confusing for theatregoers? Is it messy for the box office?

In a new public service announcement brought to you by one of the implicated shows, Gettin' the Band Back Together, Broadway actor Laura Osnes (who, herself, starred on Broadway in Bandstand) addresses the issue head on. Watch the PSA in the video above.

Gettin’ the Band Back Together, directed by Tony winner John Rando and choreographed by Chris Bailey, will begin performances July 19 prior to an official opening August 13 at the Belasco Theatre.

The musical tells the story of Mitch (played by Mitchell Jarvis), a 40-year-old, out-of-work banker who moves back in with his mother and decides to reunite his old high school band, Juggernaut.

The principal cast also features Marilu Henner as his mother, Sharon, Jay Klaitz as Bart Vickers, Manu Narayan as Dr. Rummesh "Robbie" Patel, Paul Whitty as Michael “Sully” Sullivan, Sawyer Nunes as Ricky “Bling” Goldstein, Kelli Barrett as Dani, Becca Kötte as Tawney, Garth Kravits as Ritchie, Tamika Lawrence as Roxanne Velasco, Noa Solorio as Billie, and Brandon Williams as Tygen Billows.
