“I feel like I’m in a play,” Kristin Chenoweth’s Lavinia Peck-Foster aptly says as she makes her grand courtroom entrance in the new season of Trial & Error. Watch the trailer from the NBC comedy above.

When the anthology series returns July 19 with Trial & Error: Lady Killer, Josh (played by Nicholas D’Agosto) and his team come to the defense of Lavinia, an eccentric socialite caught with a dead husband. All signs point to guilt, including a gold cane, no alibi, and the fact that the body was found in the trunk of her car. But that doesn’t stop the judge and jury from adoring her.

Broadway favorite Chenoweth joins the cast for Season 2 after the first followed the trial of Larry Henderson, played by fellow Tony and Emmy winner John Lithgow. The cast also includes Tony nominee Steven Boyer, Jayma Mays, and Sherri Shepherd.
