Klea Blackhurst (Gypsy, Hello, Dolly!) has replaced Tony Award winner Christine Ebersole (War Paint, Grey Gardens) as Parthy in the Glimmerglass Festival production of Show Boat, running July 6–August 24 in Cooperstown, New York. Ebersole has withdrawn due to scheduling conflicts.
The cast will also feature Lauren Snouffer as Magnolia Hawks, Michael Adams as Gaylord Ravenal, Alyson Cambridge as Julie La Verne, Lara Teeter as Cap’n Andy Hawks, and Justin Hopkins as Joe.
The Francesca Zambello-directed production features co-direction by E. Loren Meeker and choreography by Eric Sean Fogel. James Lowe is conductor. Sets are by Peter J. Davison, with costumes by Paul Tazewell and lighting by Mark McCulloug.
