Kate Reinders will return to Broadway later this month, joining the cast of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. She'll take on the role of gutsy songwriter Cynthia Weil beginning October 19. Fellow Wicked alum Kara Lindsay will take her final bow at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre October 14.

Reinders originated the role of Portia in the musical Something Rotten!, having previously appeared on Broadway in Wicked (as Glinda, after playing the role in the Chicago sit-down production), Gypsy, Into the Woods, and, most recently, Meteor Shower.

The current cast of the bio-musical includes Abby Mueller as Carole King, Evan Todd as Gerry Goffin, Ben Jacoby as Barry Mann, Paul Anthony Stewart as Don Kirshner, and Liz Larsen as Genie Klein.
