Stage and screen favorite Josh Gad is set to play Truman Capote in the upcoming film Party of the Century, according to Deadline. The Tony nominee, who recently starred as LeFou in the live-action Beauty and the Beast, will be joined by Jack O’Connell and Chloe Grace Moretz in the project, based on the 2006 book by Deborah Davis.

Party of the Century is centered around Capote’s infamous Black and White Ball, held in 1966. The Plaza event honored Washington Post President Katharine Graham and guests included Frank Sinatra, Gloria Vanderbilt, Lynda Bird Johnson, and Tallulah Bankhead.

Gad, whose Broadway credits include a Tony-nominated turn in The Book of Mormon and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, is also set to appear in Kenneth Branagh's adaptation of Murder on the Orient Express. The film will also feature Hamilton Tony winner Leslie Odom Jr.
