After starring in Florian Zeller's The Height of the Storm in London, Jonathan Pryce and Eileen Atkins will reprise their performances on Broadway. Manhattan Theatre Club will bring the production to the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre in its 2019–2020 season; performances begin September 10 prior to a September 24 opening night.

Christopher Hampton translates the French playwright's drama, just as he did for MTC's staging of The Father (and his additional plays The Mother and The Truth). The play concerns André (Tony and Olivier winner Pryce) and Madeleine (Olivier winner Atkins), who have been in love for over 50 years. As their daughters visit, life's complexities begin to unravel around the family. Jonathan Kent directs.

The production, which played London's Wyndham's Theatre last fall, features sets and costumes by Anthony Ward, lighting by Hugh Vanstone, sound design by Paul Groothuis, and original music by Gary Yershon.

The New Englanders, directed by Saheem Ali, follows a mixed race family as a daughter and her two fathers grapple with their conflicting ambitions. The creative team includes scenic designer Arnulfo Maldonado, costume designer Dede Ayite, lighting designer Alan C. Edwards, and sound designer Palmer Hefferan.

Poor Yella Rednecks, directed by May Adrales, is the second play of Nguyen's autobiographical trilogy after Vietgone. Told from the perspective of the mother, the play explores Nguyen's family's attempts at settling in Arkansas—a far cry from Vietnam. The staging will feature sets by Maldonado, costumes by Valérie Thérèse Bart, lighting design by Lap Chi Chu, and original music and sound design by Shane Rettig.

Additional casting for The Height of the Storm—and casting for both Off-Broadway premieres—will be announced at a later date.
