John Pizzarelli, the master jazz guitarist who was featured in the 1997 Broadway musical Dream, returns with his trio to Birdland nightclub in Manhattan August 8–12 for an evening of jazz standards, featuring songs made famous by Frank Sinatra and Antonio Carlos Jobim.

John Pizzarelli: Sinatra & Jobim @ 50 will guest-star Pizzarelli’s wife, actor Jessia Molaskey (Parade); Jobim’s grandson, musician Daniel Jobim; and the John Pizzarelli Trio. They are scheduled to play two shows nightly, at 8:30 and 11 PM,

Pizzarelli specializes in cool jazz interpretations of classic standards, romantic ballads, and show tunes. For this visit to Birdland he is celebrating the Concord Records release of Sinatra & Jobim @ 50, an anniversary celebration of the collaboration between singer-actor Sinatra and Brazilian Bossa Nova composer-guitarist Jobim

Birdland is located at 315 W 44th Street, just west of the Broadway theatre district. Tickets cost $50, plus a $10 food or drink minimum per person. Click here to order tickets.
