Performances began February 14 at the The Public Theater for the world premiere of Joan of Arc: Into the Fire, with music, book, and lyrics by Oscar, Grammy, and Golden Globe winner David Byrne, and direction by Golden Globe winner Alex Timbers.

Jo Lampert is playing the title role in the new rock musical. The production will officially open March 15 and is scheduled to play an extended engagement through April 30.

The cast also includes Emmy Award winner Mare Winningham (Isabelle); Terence Archie (Warwick); James Brown III (Priest, Judge); Jonathan Burke (Priest, Judge); Rodrick Covington (Priest, Judge); Sean Allan Krill (Bishop Cauchon); Mike McGowan (La Tremouille); Mary Kate Morrissey (Female Standby); Dimitri Joseph Moïse (Male Swing); Adam Perry (Priest, Judge); John Schiappa (Priest, Judge); Kyle Selig (Dauphin, King Charles); and Michael James Shaw (Baudricourt).
