The Off-Broadway premiere of the Olivier Award-winning musical comedy Jerry Springer – The Opera begins performances at The Pershing Square Signature Center January 23. Terrence Mann stars as Jerry Springer alongside Will Swenson as Satan in the New Group production.

Directed by John Rando and choreographed by Chris Bailey, Jerry Springer – The Opera is set to officially open February 22. Performances are in in The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre.

Completing the cast are Jill Paice, Jennifer Allen, Sean Patrick Doyle, Justin Keyes, Florrie Bagel, Brandon Contreras, Bradley Greer, Luke Grooms, Nathaniel Hackmann, Billy Hepfinger, Beth Kirkpatrick, Elizabeth Loyacano, Tiffany Mann, Kim Steele, and Nichole Turner.

Jerry Springer – The Opera premiered at the National Theatre in London directed by Stewart Lee (April 29–September 30, 2003), and played on the West End at the Cambridge Theatre (October 14, 2003–February 19, 2005). The musical features a score by Richard Thomas, who also penned the book and lyrics with Stewart Lee.

The Off-Broadway production features set design by Derek McLane, costume design by Sarah Laux, lighting design by Jeff Croiter, fight firection by Jacob Grigolia-Rosenbaum, sound design by Joshua D. Reid, projection design by Olivia Sebesky, orchestrations by Greg Anthony Rassen, and music direction by Michael Brennan.
